Desktop App

You can download SquareLine Vision and use it as a native desktop app. This feature is supported on Mac, Windows, and Linux.

Differences​

The main difference between the desktop app and the browser based version is the file management and exporting functions. In the desktop application unlike the online version, you don't download a zip file when you export the project, but you can specify the export destination folder on your local drive. And export either the whole project, or just the UI files.

Exporting​

There are two type of export settings in the desktop application:​

  • Project export root: This option will export your whole project export files to the selected path.

  • UI files export path: This option will only export your generated UI files to the selected path.

💡TIP

In the UI files export option, you can always change the export path to your UI project, and the next time you will export it, the generated UI export files will export to that path.
