Desktop App

You can download SquareLine Vision and use it as a native desktop app. This feature is supported on Mac, Windows, and Linux.

Differences​

The main difference between the desktop app and the browser-based version is the file management and exporting functions. Unlike the online version, the desktop application does not require downloading a zip file when exporting a project. Instead, the export destination folder can be specified directly on a local drive, allowing for the export of either the entire project or just the UI files.

Exporting​

There are two types of export settings in the desktop application:​

  • Project export root: Exports the entire project to the selected path

  • UI files export path: Exports only the generated UI files to the selected path

💡TIP

In the UI files export option, you can always change the export path to your UI project, and the next time you will export it, the generated UI export files will export to that path.
